Editors' reviewThis application aims to curb the temptation to goof off while you work, though it falls short in a big way. While DoNotDisturb effectively blocks specified programs and Web sites, URL and browser blocking isn't available in this version. Getting started, the program detects the applications installed on your PC. Simply click on those that pose the biggest distraction, then specify the days and the length of time to immobilize the applications. During tests, we attempted to outsmart DoNotDisturb by adjusting the computer's clock but to no avail. You can't execute a simple system reboot to override this clever utility either. The program doesn't irrevocably halt all access during timed intervals, however, it does require you to enter a discouraging 64-character string to open its well-organized and intuitive interface just to disable blocks. This free version of DoNotDisturb is better categorized as a demo since it doesn't block the Internet. Nevertheless, those with addictive games and other applications installed on their PC will find it quite effective.
Save Time by Blocking Out Addictive Websites and Programs from your computer when you need to get work done. Simply select which Websites or Programs you get distracted by and set a duration of your choice. DoNotDisturb will then Block Out your selection and you will not be able to access these addictive Websites or Programs until the time you have set is up. It stops you wasting valuable hours on addictive Websites and Programs such as Social Networking Sites, Instant Messenger Chats, Computer Games, and Video Clips. Version 2.3 adds reversal feature that allows the selected websites and programs while blocking everything else, adds Warning Only feature that does not block the selection but warns when accessing barred websites and programs.
