Haxial DiskCatalog is a utility for cataloging CDs, hard disks, folders, and any other type of disk. It allows you to browse the contents of disks without having to find them and insert them into your computer. More importantly, you can search all of your disks at once (again without having them in the computer), and DiskCatalog will display a list of all the files found, and their location. When you're looking for a file and you don't know where it is, this is much easier than manually searching all your disks. DiskCatalog is designed to be very fast -- search results usually appear instantly.
What's new in this version:
- "Batch Add" feature makes it easier to catalog a bunch of removable disks (thanks sfish for the suggestion). MacOS: While Batch Add is activated, any disk inserted into the computer will be automatically cataloged and then ejected if possible. Windows: Automatic detection of disks inserted into the computer is not supported, instead you click a button to check for new volumes.
