This was a pretty good program for finding rare files, but now I can find more stuff through BitTorrent and file hosting sites.
Cons
The main problem with this is that you can only download a file from one peer. So you can't get faster speeds if more people have the same file. Also, if the person leaves mid-download, you'll never be able to finish it unless you're both on at the same time again.

Good for finding rare & hard-to-find files.

Too Cliquish.. You have to have a MINIMUM of 100 gigs of shared files on some portals.. I have 8 gigs of QUALITY files.. but because I don't keep JUNK on my hard drive to inflate my stats, I cannot get into a lot of portals. TOO MANY RULES!!!

This program is supposed to be hassle free and maybe the software is hassle free but the hubs are pitiful. I only found 2 hubs that remotely interested me and upon entering the hubs i was bombarded by about 50 strict rules which would end up getting me kicked or banned! I think breathing was against one rule. Some people must lead very little sad lives in the real world and when they get some authority on the net and they go on a sad little virtual power trip. Even when i was connected to this hub i found sweet FA i wanted. SOULSEEK is VASTLY superior and most of all, truly hassle free.

I think the good thing about this program is it hasn't got any spyware like Kazaa and other sharing program (I'm not so sure though)~ the bad thing is you cannot find rare stuff like old movies or b-side single songs or songs of another language~ also, you must have 10GB or more to be able to share~ and once the person is offline you'll not be able to download the file from another person like you can in Kazaa~ this program is not international so you only can share the files with the local users, which makes it harder to find rare files~ But I still recommend this program because I'm sick of spyware~ I recommend that you first download 20GB from Kazaa and then uninstall it and install direct connect~ so you'll not need to share your whole hardware~
