This handy desktop manager offers an easy approach to navigating virtual desktops.
Dexpot offers a functional interface that's accessible via the system tray. The program is preloaded with 20 virtual desktops and offers several ways to move between them, including a toolbar (Desktop Manager), hot keys, mouse hot spots, and tray icon. You'll also be able to customize desktop titles, set wallpaper, icon size, specify screen resolution, and add password protection for each desktop.
The Desktop Preview and Windows Catalogue features let you see what's open in your current desktop and offer easy navigation among the items. You can set the program to automatically switch between virtual desktops using the Desktop Slideshow feature. The system tray icon and Desktop Manager Toolbar indicate which desktop you're currently using. What's more, you can move or copy applications to any virtual desktop or run several applications on each.
With so much going in it, we were impressed that the program didn't slow down our PC or interrupt other programs running in other desktops. All in all, any user looking for an easy-to-use desktop organizer will appreciate this free, feature-rich program.

"Works good - but then it crashes"
Pros: This solved a big problem for me... A cluttered desktop. Now I can organize my desktops, one for each major function that I use my computer for ( I have 4 different ones for work, one for personal use). This has freed up my desktop space, and saved me time otherwise spent looking for icons on a single desktop...
Cons: But then again, it has crashed several time, making all of my settings go crazy. This has wasted time, and overall I wonder if I've even saved any time at all.
Once it crashed and when I restarted it, everything was in German (I think). Whenever I place my laptop in stand-by (close the lid), and re-open it, it crashes.
I am going to look for another virtual desktop solution now. But I'm glad I tried this one and used it for about a year.

"Doesn't play well with others"
Pros: Well, I like the general appearance, if that counts.
Cons: So basically, I can't use my beloved CursorXP. Which is terrible, because I am using the best looking cursor in the world. It also doesn't let me add web content to my desktop, so I can't even use my very awesome animated wallpaper! I've JUST downloaded and installed this thing, and already I've found more bad than good.
Don't get me wrong, I am sure this program is exactly what many other people need, but for me... it's just a picky program that doesn't want to work unless you do things the way IT wants things to be done. My personal rating is 1 star, because I can't find a single thing I like about it. But I will give it 2 stars because I know it's a really good program. I won't give it any more stars because I want readers to feel my personal rating.

Pros: NICE! This program has so much to offer, so many options and features, very very nice. Better than the Microsoft powertoy.
Cons: Kinda ugly icons, wish they had an option to integrate the thing into the start bar instead of the task-tray.

Pros: Faster and much lighter than Virtual Desktop Toolbox. The interface is very neat and simple. I enjoy the Full-screen preview (see all your desktops at once), the Window Catalogue, minimize any app to the system tray (nice!), Always On Top, and Transparency. Very customizable. Free!
Cons: A few of the desktop icons don't exactly get back to my desired positions, but it's something I can live with.
