It's clunky, but this application lets you magnify parts of your desktop. DeskLensPro writes to the system tray and features a cluttered interface accessible via a right click. You'll have several choices on the size, shape, and position of your magnification window. Some options provide stationary windows that track your cursor while others follow your mouse pointer, although you won't get much help in determining which one does what. Unlike other products in this category, DeskLensPro lets you open multiple magnification windows simultaneously. What you won't find are much-desired zoom and hot-key options readily found in competitors. Also, an ever-present registration nag appears at the bottom of each magnification window. Though others in this class provide more flexibility, DeskLensPro adequately takes care of basic magnification needs.

  "You need it before you can install it????"

  Pros: Sometimes it works well. It is not for the vision impaired because you need to be able to see WELL to read the cryptic instructions to set it up for use.

  Cons: It leaves smushed text on the screen with a ghost of passed magnifier impressions. VERY cryptic instructions.
