From Duane Johnson :Descent has been out for a while; in fact, the source code of the original has been released to the public, allowing developers to make changes to the 3D space shooter. This new application file for Descent helps you take advantage of 3Dfx graphics accelerator cards. In order to use this file, you must have a full version of the original Descent as well as a 3Dfx card installed. This updated version features full support for VillageTronics and MacPicasso/Overdrive cards. Also, previous primary and secondary weapons button items have been added. The next and previous primary and secondary weapons keyboard keys have been added. In addition, a check box to turn off the explosion bitmaps has been included.
