Though not packed with extensive features, this application lets you log important dates on a monthly calendar that sits on your desktop. While DeltaCalendar isn't exactly what we'd call a scheduling app, it docks in the system tray and lets you create memos for one-time or weekly, monthly, or annual events. DeltaCalendar does offer significantly more user-configurable options than the Windows calendar. You can change the color, font size, and text effects of the calendar display. The calendar is translucent and can be moved to any spot on your screen. Unlike similar calendars, this one does not mark standard holidays. Unfortunately, it lacks one key feature -an alarm. To add to your woes, it appears there's a bug with the tool tips and add-memo feature. Still, since it's free and doesn't hog a chunk of your system resources, DeltaCalendar is worth a look.Publisher's description

The way the calendar is displayed is completely customizable; you can change the color, font, sizes, borders and margins. Also allows to add, remove or edit memos and to display or not weekdays and numbers. The software is available in several languages. Added support for new generation language files. Added tool tip for everyday of the month. Added Export and Import of schemes. Added the possibility to delete multiple memos at once. Changed the memo export so that it exports only selected memos. Changed the configuration windows interface. Fixed a bug that would display wrong week number in the beginning of a year. Fixed a bug that would cause error when displaying a memo's tool tip. Added the Import and Export to file function for the memos. Fixed a bug with the Swedish Language file which was not displaying in the language selection.

Pros: I liked the fact that DeltaCalendar had such a small footprint and didn't try to do a million tasks.
Cons: However, I had to configure it line by snoozing line. And getting a memo onto a date was harder than a towel bar.

"It was just what I was looking for."
Pros: I needed a simple but ever present calendar to which I could add reminders. In no time I had one working and personalized to meet my needs. It floats on top, but can be moved or turned off easily. I don't have to turn on other programs and work my way through them to get what I need, ie: Outlook etc. I takes up no system space and doesn't hog any resources.
Cons: I wish it could talk to me.
