Danica Patrick has helped make racing history as one of the leading women drivers in a male-dominated sport. This screensaver offers about 20 pictures of the young racer, but we found the image quality to be marred by JPEG overcompression. The software itself provides a fairly extensive feature set for a free download, allowing users control over transition effects, image size, background, and the interval between images. A few special effects such as sepia tone are included. Any image can be used as wallpaper for a computer's desktop, and users can leave a virtual sticky note on the screen while the program is running. But the screensaver comes bundled with two separate Internet Explorer toolbars, so be cautious if you don't want these extra components on your computer. The program may appeal to avid Patrick fans, but otherwise, we'd recommend looking elsewhere.
