The freeware PDF writer opts for ease over customization with a one-step conversion app that works its will over any printable document. Once installed, pressing Print and selecting CutePDF Writer as a printer choice allows you to save the newly-made PDF anywhere in your file system. While we found the process flawless, advanced users who enjoy rolling up their sleeves for configuring greater DIY control should keep looking. Folks whose needs are more basic have in CutePDF Writer a fine choice.

Pros: NONE, I INSTALLED IT TWICE AND IT DOES NOT SHOW UP ON MY COMPUTER. NO SHORTCUT ON DESKTOP NO FOLDER UNDER PROGRAMS

"I use for Word doc conversion. Fast, easy, reliable."
Pros: Ease of use. Availability from print drop-down menu. I appreciate update notifications from CNET.
Cons: None. I use only for Word to PDF conversion, so I can't say what other features it has or does not have.

Pros: I cannot imagine an easier way to create a pdf file!
Cons: Haven't discovered any.
Summary: Due to a handicap I can use only my left hand. Making a pdf file takes the same effort as telling MS Word to "print a file." It is easy and has never let me down.

Pros: For making a PDF without all the glitz you cannot find anything easier.
Cons: How can you have a con for something so easy to use?
Summary: I have Adobe Pro, yet Cute PDF is so much simplier and quicker if all you want to do is make a PDF....Oh, did I say cheaper too. Also great for a Laptop on the go when you don't have a printer handy.
