The freeware PDF writer opts for ease over customization with a one-step conversion app that works its will over any printable document. Once installed, pressing Print and selecting CutePDF Writer as a printer choice allows you to save the newly-made PDF anywhere in your file system. While we found the process flawless, advanced users who enjoy rolling up their sleeves for configuring greater DIY control should keep looking. Folks whose needs are more basic have in CutePDF Writer a fine choice.

Pros: I use this program to save a web page and do not want to use the printer. It is fast and effective.

Cons: The compression was insufficient for a large document.
Summary: I had to to cut my document 24,500 KB into 3 parts in order to mail it. I found another pdf
programme, PDF Creator, would deal with the whole document just as easily -

Pros: I downloaded this at work after our inept IT guy uninstalled all my adobe stuff and either never bothered to put it back on.LAZY!!! I use it dozens of times a day and it never fails. I recommend it.
Cons: I can't think of any. I don't convert huge files, so I'm not sure if that's a problem.
Summary: I'm glad I ran across this. I was pretty desperate when I found it, since we store a lot of PDF documents and I didn't have an app to do it with because of loser IT guy, like I said. I just put it on my laptop, so we'll see about the adware... I ha... read more >>
