"works for me - nice utility"

August 13, 2007  |  By PolishSumgai

 |  Version: Cunning Fox 1.0.5

Summary

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Cunning Fox is a tool to stop and continue the running applications under mac os x, so that you can "pause" other applications to gain optimal performance for a specific application moreover it also provides information about application such as CPU usage memory etc.

Just like it says it's a GREAT tool to kill running applications that are locked up - non responsive -etc. never has failed me and it's been a life saver, as I overwork my Mac to the limit and beyond 100% of the time.

"STILL WORKING!"

January 10, 2005  |  By cyclingone

Summary

Well, I registered the program today. It works. . .the problems with Ap Enhancer are gone. Very nice program. And the problem of the program not loading even though the load on log in option was checked has been addressed. Received and email from the developer suggesting that I manually add it to my start up programs which I did and now it works flawlessly.

The program does what it's supposed to do.

"I TAKE IT BACK!!"

Summary

Well. . .I guess I should have downloaded this update BEFORE posting my previous comments. Unfortunately, since the developer didn't mention anything about correcting the conflict with Ap Enhancer, I assumed that the program still had a problem.

But, I'm pleased to say that it WORKS now with Ap Enhancer! Atleast it does for me and that's a good thing. I will wait a couple of days to be sure that it continues to work and then pay for it.

GOOD JOB! Mr. Developer, you should definately add a something about this 'fix'
in the 'what's new in this release' comments

One minor complaint, however. The option to have the program load when logging in doesn't seem to work even though I ticked the box for that option.

Anyway, my apologies for the previous post and kudos to the developer for getting it to coexist with Ap Enhancer.

"Good program BUT I won't use it. . ."

January 07, 2005  |  By cyclingone

Summary

If this developer would listen to the feedback AND his emails (I've sent him 2 with no reply) then perhaps he would fix it so that it works with Unsanity's Ap Enhancer. Like most, I've got lots of programs that utilize Ap Enhancer and I won't give them up just to be able to use this ap.

Developer GET IT FIXED and you'll find lots of us PAYING for it and USING it. But, if it's a shoot out between your ap and AP Enhancer. . .you lose.

"Whoah"

 |  Version: Cunning Fox 1.0.1

Summary

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I've been dreaming of something like this for a loooong time. I'm always afraid to start a long video encoding session, because I might want to do something with my computer before it's done and it bogs everything else down. Now I can actually just pause the encoding application!

The functionality itself is great, but I have a couple problems with the program. As others have said, a regular Aqua window would be nice. Also, Cunning Fox lives as a tiny little icon in a corner of the screen, and I hate it when applications take up non-standard space on my screen. This could just as easily be a menu extra, or even a regular app in the dock. This is especially annoying for someone who uses hot-corners for things like Exposé, screen savers, etc. It loses a star for that. Make it a menu extra and it'll get 5.
