Core FTP Lite is a top-notch freeware FTP client, with a wide, uncluttered layout to keep things organized. Easy to use and lacking only the most advanced of features, like multisite connections, Core FTP is a must-have.
Major functions such as Site Manager for maintaining connection information, Quick Reconnect, and mode switching are given big buttons on the toolbar. When you're connected to a site, though, the file-management pane also replicates buttons for most of these functions so you don't have to mouse very far to use the tool you need. The client supports all essential FTP functions, including multiple transfers, secure protocols, configurable ASCII uploading for specified file types, browser integration, and more.
There are few downsides to using this app. There's no scheduler. Some users have noted past stability issues, both in general and when conducting large transfers, but it seems that many older bugs have been worked out. We noticed no problems during our tests and strongly recommend Core FTP Lite.

Pros: This one is very simple to use, file transfering can't get any easier. It's very userfreindly with it's click and drag transfering.
Cons: I've no cons. I dislike the colour of the UI, but that's it.
Summary: I've been using several ftp programs, both free and purchased and this one is by far the most reliable ftp program of them all. This one really deserve the five stars.

"So intuitive, even a caveman could use it."
Pros: Simple. Great layout. Buttons are easy to use.
Cons: Did not really find any.
Summary: I could not find the free edition of the WS_*** so I have switched over to Core FTP and this has more features than the other guys.

Pros: Only ftp program I have ever used... don't see any need to change or try any others and the price is great :)
Cons: None that I can think of.
Summary: If simplicity, ease of use and reliability are your main criteria, this is the program for you.

"Easy to use - have been using it for years!"
Pros: I have been using this ftp program for over 8 years and I love it. Easy, will hold your log ins for several sites, and it's all secure. I recommend it highly for people just starting, or pros.
Cons: There is nothing I don't like about it.
