Core FTP Lite is a top-notch freeware FTP client, with a wide, uncluttered layout to keep things organized. Easy to use and lacking only the most advanced of features, like multisite connections, Core FTP is a must-have.
Major functions such as Site Manager for maintaining connection information, Quick Reconnect, and mode switching are given big buttons on the toolbar. When you're connected to a site, though, the file-management pane also replicates buttons for most of these functions so you don't have to mouse very far to use the tool you need. The client supports all essential FTP functions, including multiple transfers, secure protocols, configurable ASCII uploading for specified file types, browser integration, and more.
There are few downsides to using this app. There's no scheduler. Some users have noted past stability issues, both in general and when conducting large transfers, but it seems that many older bugs have been worked out. We noticed no problems during our tests and strongly recommend Core FTP Lite.

Pros: This is the tool for the bulk transfer of files via FTP. It will queue them up and retry as needed. When I need to upload 10,000 files, this is the only tool I will use.

Pros: Trust this one. It will finish the job you need and it runs very fast.
Another freeware SmartFTP is loser comparing with this one in terms of connectivity and speed.

"Excellent! Can't believe it's FREE!!!"
Pros: I was just about ready to shell out $40 for "CuteFTP Home" but decided to take one last look for any free apps I might have missed. Wow, am I glad I did! CoreFTP LE has a ton of great features packed into a friendly, modern interface. No spyware, no adware, no nag screens! You can even specify custom sounds for various operations. As a fairly light FTP user I doubt that I'll need the additional features of the registered version but if so, it's $15 less than most of it's competition. If you're in the market for a great FTP app you owe it to yourself to give this a try!
