"Best free app for this crucial task."
Version: CopyTrans TuneTastic 0.730
Pros
Does exactly what it says it will. Quickly deletes deleted, duplicate and orphan tracks from iTunes.
It's free!Cons
None, in light of the fact that it's free.
Summary
Great app. Thank you! Users, delete the tracks you don't want from your music folders, then run this app to get them out of the iTunes library.
People should stop complaining about announced features that are still in development (e.g. artwork). Be honest, you wouldn't have even noticed except for the fact that the developer told you it's coming! Be grateful that someone has accomplished and shared with you what you couldn't possibly do yourself! -
"Nice tool!"
Version: CopyTrans TuneTastic 0.726
Pros
Helped me to fix broken links and to remove duplicates. Easy to use.
Cons
The artwork part is announced to be comming soon, but yet missing.
Summary
Nice and free tool to clean up iTunes libraries.

"A nippy solution to my iTunes duplicates problem"
Version: CopyTrans TuneTastic 0.725
Pros
Identified my iTunes duplicate tracks and informed me which of each duplicated songs is recommended to keep and which I can delete. Free program although still in BETA.
Cons
Says that artwork-find function is coming soon and is not yet available
Summary
The program is neat and does what it says. I managed to clean up my iTunes library of duplicates in a relatively quick manner. The program is free but I would like to see the automatic artwork-find feature come soon, even if I have to pay for this program.

"Decent- but could be oh so much better"
Version: CopyTrans TuneTastic 0.725
Pros
Pretty much does what it says it will do.
Cons
Slow
Manual process
Buggy
Limited file typesSummary
Incredibly slow process for a large library. I've got 14,000 songs and it's taken days- DAYS to clean my library. It's a totally manual process and it could and SHOULD work entirely in the background to do it's thing. You can only put chunks of songs in of less than 1000 although I've read less than 500. So, I'm having to essentially do every letter of the alphabet one at a time to make it palatable for the program. It's also a bit buggy. I want to love this program, but it's just not there. And- it's very expensive for what it offers. It should be $19.99 for a lifetime license, not $40 bucks a year. That's just ridiculous.

"Quick and easy iTunes Cleanup"
Version: CopyTrans TuneTastic 0.725
Pros
Found duplicates/missing songs/"orphaned"songs like a charm.
Cons
Still in beta with a few unpolished edges. Wish the artwork finder would be added soon.
Summary
I had been looking all over for a way to clean up my sizable iTunes library and found TuneTastic. Downloaded it, launched, and it got right to work. My iTunes library is uncluttered and when the additional "coming soon" features get added, this program will be difficult to beat.

"Had the app suggested and it fixed my iTunes duplicates"
Version: CopyTrans TuneTastic 0.723
Pros
Easy interface - provides step by step process and informs you of every step on the way. Does what it says on the tin - quickly removed my iTunes duplicates.
Cons
artwork finder function "coming soon" and therefore not available yet. I'd like to see that one in action too already.
Summary
This app is a true gem. I have been plagued by duplicated iTunes songs appearing and reappearing mysteriously. This program helped me fix the problem once and for all.

Summary

"More than decent; does what it says well;"
Version: CopyTrans TuneTastic 0.718
Pros
Found and fixed my iTunes library duplicates and corrected a number of unlisted tracks which were in my iTunes Media folder but not indexed by my iTunes library.
Cons
- -
Summary
I manually manage my iTunes library by often adding tracks I have downloaded elsewhere or from CDs directly to the Media folder. While flexible, this way of managing iTunes is a bit burdensome, as I often tend to end up with duplicated or missing tracks from my library.
With the help of this tool, I realized that there are lots of tracks in my iTunes Media folder which are not listed in my iTunes library (350 to be exact). TuneTastic told me about the tracks and asked me if I wanted to list them in iTunes. The program also found a number of duplicate songs and fixed them for me.
This is a pretty advanced little tool which is useful for fixing issues with your iTunes library you would have gone over otherwise. -
"Just Didn't Work"
Version: CopyTrans TuneTastic 0.718
Pros
none - because it didn't work
Cons
downloaded fine, but when I went to run it, it would freeze. Tried to re-download and still didn't work. oh well.

"Astonishingly, it found all my missing iTunes songs"
Version: CopyTrans TuneTastic 0.717
Pros
I used this program because it said it would find my iTunes missing songs (listed in iTunes with an exclamation mark next to them). The thing did the job and all that for free!
Cons
NO cons in my case
Summary
I don't like the way the iTunes media folder is organized by Artist name rather than by genre. I started moving my iTunes media tracks in new folders according to their genre and then according to album. Big mistake, as I did not know iTunes would lose track of the moved tracks and essentially not play them and consider them as lost! I found this miracle tool which in the matter of a minute identified all my missing iTunes songs and I guess re-indexed them, since they are all playing now. Sorry to repeat - but for a free program this definitely more than cuts it.
