Cookie Stumbler eliminates Ad & Tracking cookies and allows you conveniently to maintain only the cookies on your computer which you really want to keep. This eliminates threats to your privacy and helps your web browsers to run faster. It will recognize known Ad/Tracking cookies via definitions which are updated frequently similar to anti-virus software and so far unidentified Ad/tracking cookies via an intelligent heuristics engine, which is built-in. Cookie Stumbler isn't dependent on advertising companies to "allow" users to opt out as some other applications. It does its job independently and it will do so without interfering when you browse the web. Cookie Stumbler is extremely easy to use. Once you have chosen either one of the default selection criteria such as your bookmarks or history or have put the cookies of some sites which you really want to keep on your 'keep-list', you can run the cleaning process automatically to a schedule which suits your needs. The schedules can be built easily and as customized and flexible as you want them to be. Supporting almost every commonly used browser in the market (currently Safari, Firefox, Chromium, Chrome, Camino, OmniWeb, Flash) you can use this program either to investigate exactly what websites are storing on your computer or clean it in one click or just let it run without you even remembering to run it. You can even integrate Cookie Stumbler actions into your own workflow by using our Automator Actions. Cons
Hangs up each time it is run. Requires to be force quite to close. It ran all night on one of my computers. It has hung up on each of the three that I have run it on. No success in using it as of yet. Have requested and not received technical support for the issues.

Installed it and first time it ran it hung up... had to force quit. Re-downloaded it and installed it again, fresh. Did not work. Tried to uninstall and the uninstaller said the program was not installed (it was sitting there in my applications folder). Won't run, can't uninstall. Not impressed.

I downloaded this program and installed it on my computer but when I attempted to open it, it would not. It appeared in the OS X Activity Monitor as "non-responsive."
And when I attempted to uninstall the program, I received the following error message: "rm: /Users/username/Library/Preferences/de.writeitstudios.cookiestumbler.plist: No such file or directory"
Apparently there are several bugs in this beta. From my experience, it does not appear to be ready for downloading.
