In spite of its simplicity, this tiny utility really helps spruce up the look and functionality of your PC's built-in clock. After you launch ClockDummy, you'll immediately notice that the bland, gray clock in your system tray has been replaced by a colorful bar that shows the date and time. The program contains nearly 20 multicolored skins for dressing up its icon and lets you tweak the font size and color. You'll also find just as many preset design themes to choose from, although you can always specify a solid background color if you want to keep it simple. The program automatically syncs your PC with an online atomic clock at a user-specified interval, and can alert you to the time via a number of different sounds or a British female voice. Our main complaint with ClockDummy has to do with its 10-day trial period, which is a bit short in our book. Still, if you're tired of gazing at Windows' boring built-in clock day in and day out, you should certainly consider this piece of software.
