Publisher's Description

From Addintools:

Classic Menu for Office 2007 is an application that display menus and toolbars of Office 2007

Could not see the menus in the last version of MS Office? Just download and install this software, you will see and enjoy classic menus and toolbars of Office 2007(include Excel, Word and PowerPoint), as in the Office 2003/XP.

The familiar Office 2003 interface has been replaced by the Ribbon. It is cool and powerful, but many users can't find some of the features because they are hidden or moved to other places. If you install Classic Menu for Office 2007, these menus and toolbars will be retrieved and shown.

All new features items of Microsoft Office 2007 have been added into the classic menu and toolbars.

Supports all languages that are supported by Microsoft Office 2007: English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Arabic, Korean, Chinese.

You can add the menus and toolbars to Quick Access Toolbar, then you can minimize the Ribbon and finish all operations without Ribbon.

    "Me LIKE!!!"

    November 22, 2011  |   By myjoylives

Version: Classic Menu for Office 2007 6.80

    Pros

    I know where everything is!

    Cons

It seems you can't create new toolbars and you can't move the ones that are there.

    Summary

    Good product!

I give it Five Stars for improving a flawed interface but Three Stars for not going far enough. Or maybe they went as far as Microsoft would let them.

"Save my money on Office 2007 Ribbon training"

    October 10, 2011  |   By Winnie_Smiling

Version: Classic Menu for Office 2007 6.80

    Pros

It relieves me from frustrating endless searches for common buttons and menus. When I turned to Office 2007 at the beginning, I get puzzled and can't work at all, because I was looking for buttons! Thanks to this add-in, it brings back friendly old menus and toolbars, and it helps me work easily. Classic Menu for Office 2007 creates office 2007 menus, I like it.

    Cons

Why the old menus and toolbars are under Menus tab, but not replace the whole Ribbon?

    Summary

Classic Menu for Office creates office 2007 menus.

    "A LITTLE CONFUSING."

    November 15, 2010  |   By WOLFWINDS

Version: Classic Menu for Office 2007 6.01

    Pros

IT IS BETTER THAN THE NEW ONES.

    Cons

I FEEL IT NEEDS TO OVERRIDE THE MS OFFICE THAT YOU ARE IN. AND NOT LEAVE THE OLD ONE ON THERE WITH IT. TOO CONFUSING.

    Summary

I FEEL IT NEEDS TO OVERRIDE THE MS OFFICE THAT YOU ARE IN. AND NOT LEAVE THE OLD ONE ON THERE WITH IT. TOO CONFUSING.

Version: Classic Menu for Office 2007 6.01

    Pros

easy to use, just what I needed

    Cons

have had to uninstall & download again -- twice -- to get past a registration bug

    Summary

makes using the newer versions of WORD easier, more productive, because the best of the now-changed features are once again easily acessible.

"Allows you time to transfer to the ribbon"

    September 6, 2010  |   By PrivettP

Version: Classic Menu for Office 2007 5.25

    Pros

This product also works for 2010. It is a good program to use when the ribbon is too frustrating to find things and you have exhaust your time.

    Cons

It does not contain all the pull down tasks. The website clearly says for personal use, there is no charge. If there is a trail person, than I will delete it.

    Summary

Anyway you look at it MS has packed too many tasks that people cannot find. Who knows how you find Scientific notation or underscores using the ribbon...? The ribbon is the biggest obstacle for power users. This helps ease the transition. That said, Open Office is a viabible competitor as they don't have the same issues as MS with the tool bars

"Trial version uninstall was a nightmare"

    June 17, 2010  |   By jwsmith708

Version: Classic Menu for Office 2007 5.0

    Pros

What ever they do right was outweighed by what they did wrong.

    Cons

I first tried the Classic Menu for Excel & when the free trial was up, it started giving me a "nag message" which progressed without warning to where Excel would not even start, even after uninstalling the product. Took me most of a day to fix this!!

    Summary

Very buggy or deliberate malware triggered when uninstalling this product.

    "works great"

    April 27, 2010  |   By bpiw2

Version: Classic Menu for Office 2007 5.0

    Pros

Office 2007 was my first exp. with Office. I had asked for help from a friend who had a ealier version. He found it difficult to help me because 2007 was so different from his version. After downloading this it was much easier for him to help me.

    Cons

I find no fault with this.

    Summary

Does what it is supposed to.

"Get the Good 'ol Office back"

    March 19, 2010  |   By Zoowey

Version: Classic Menu for Office 2007 4.52

    Pros

As a collage student I have no time to learn Microsoft's new Ribbon Interface. I've been using Office for years and hate that Microsoft has forced this new Ribbon Interface on its users.

    Cons

Price is steep but fair enough.

    Summary

It makes Office 2007 work and feel just like 2003.

"It gets rid of those obnoxious ribbons"

    January 1, 2010  |   By dandydon25

Version: Classic Menu for Office 2007 4.52

    Pros

It's just like the old Office. Probably what I should do is uninstall Office 2007 and reinstall Office 2003.

    Cons

It's not free. MS should provide this 'classic' option in their Office 2007 program.

    Summary

In my opinion, Microsoft has stuck it to every one of their 'old' customers. By that I mean people like me who have spent years becoming familiar with the tools they need every day, only to find them changed 180 degrees in the name of progress. And I'm not alone in this line of thinking. My friend John who lives across from us, an engineer with years of programming experience, feels exactly as I do on this subject. If this doesn't drive you to Apple, nothing will!
