Publisher's Description
From Panic:
Brought to you by Panic and the Iconfactory, CandyBar 3 brings the best of CandyBar 2 and Pixadex 2 together into one powerful, new application. CandyBar, as always, lets you easily and safely customize your Leopard system icons like the trash can, volumes, and even the infamous Leopard default folders, so your desktop will be uniquely yours. And now, with Pixadex's feature set built right into CandyBar, users can import, organize and search huge numbers of icons quickly and easily, making it super simple to find just the right icon.
What's new in this version:
- No longer tries to run in 64-bit on 10.5, resolving a few crashes on 10.5.x
- Fixed a long-standing bug that prevented icon variants, like the "Open Folder" state, from working
- Fixed a crash when applying and restoring icon changes under certain conditions
- Fixed a crash when importing ICO files when running in 64-bit
- Additional minor changes. Snappier?

"This application has really gone down hill..."
Version: CandyBar 3.3.3
Pros
I have $30 less to spend on booze...
Cons
You can't change the icons on any of the core applications such as iMovie, iPhoto, Garage Band, and anything downloaded from the App Store...
Summary
This was a neat app in 2005... it's absolutely worthless now.

"Buggy! buggy! buggy!"
Version: CandyBar 3.2.2
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Buggy! buggy! buggy!
.
1. If you trash your icon, let's say from my-icon list (while still keeping it in the trash). The next rebuild will bring the icon back!!
2. You can't empty your trash manually. You must use the file/empty trash apple menu. If you wont do that, the icon will return.
3. ...
I contact the developer a few times and they did respond. But i got the feeling that they are not taking CandBar seriously. Its all about Coda now... -
"No Docks"
Version: CandyBar 3.2
Summary

The ability to change docks seems to have disappeared with this (SL) update. Other than this, it "works" as usual. -

"Great update!"
Version: CandyBar 3.0
Summary

I just love the new interface and the way they combined Pixadex and Candybar is simply perfect. I'll recommend this to anyone and NO I'm not hired by Panic Software! Perhaps the price is a little steep but I'll gladly pay for this update. -
"If you get tired of your systems original icons get this app!"
Version: CandyBar 3.0
Pros
I can decorate my mac with the holidays, change folders, hardrives, etc. all at once with the click of a button, etc.
Cons
It is time consuming choosing icons....get pixadex, too.

"Good Update"

Works as well as ever, easy to use and a great upgrade price - free!!! I never feel anxious about changing system level icons with CandyBar. -
"Universal Binary?"
Version: CandyBar 2.5.1
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I'll second the high rating -- this software rocks.
Just got my new Intel iMac. While the old version seems to work fine (if slowly, while opening containers), it'd sure be dandy to have a universal binary version. -
"5 stars aren't enough! **********"
Version: CandyBar 2.5.1
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I just had to plunk down my 5 stars to
offset the RIDICULOUS review offered
by Sir iGreg. CandyBar is "top-shelf"
stuff, and I doubt even a five-year-old
would have _ANY_ trouble using it.
Download and decide for yourself.

"Candybar Plus is not easy to use."
Version: CandyBar 2.5.1
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I got it to work by rebooting. However, after spending a few hours with it, and trying it out and reading the instructions, I find it convoluted and confusing. I can't figure out the relationship between Pixadex and Candybar, they do not work together well at all. The whole icontainers thing is really confusing. Some work with Candybar and some do not. I'm sorry I bought it. I'm going to find out if there is a money back gaurantee.
