Calendar 2000 is a small utility that will display a monthly calendar on the Windows desktop. The calendar is similar to the one found in most checkbooks. You can also define your own holidays and important dates, but Calendar 2000 is not a full-blown time scheduler. Instead use Calendar 2000 to quickly check the date or calculate the day on which a certain date occurs. Monthly calendars from Jan 1583 to Dec 3000 can be displayed and printed. Version 4.3 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

"Exactly what it was designed to be, a bloody calendar."

Pros
I need a quick source of what the date is while I am using other programs. With Calendar 2000 I find out, without having to open my Act, lotus organizer, or Outlook programs. Great tool and FREE!!!

"Just what I wanted."

I wanted a calander just like this a few weeks ago. Great! It comes up with the current month. I can go to any month and year I want. Extra stuff like a time zone clock and sun/moon world clock. It resides in the systray of the taskbar for easy access.
Cons
This is such a good and simple product, Microsoft is sure to buy it, and then they'll screw it up.

It's a calendar that shows dates of the month. This may be nice if you don't have a calendar handy.
Cons
I guess I don't get this software. There are no pop up reminders when you add an event to a day on the calendar. It just sits there in your taskbar unless you remember to check it every day. This calendar seems useless for marking events, only holidays. Because once you've marked an event and it passes, it stays on the calendar. Plus it's a real hassle to remove any event or holiday and change it to something else. I'm looking for a pop-up calendar / reminder and this isn't even close to being useful.

Pros
Pros: Does exactly what it claims to, and smoothly, and is freeware (woo hoo!). Recommended.
Cons
Cons: Only one is that when you want to add a note to a date, it isn't intuitive when you click on a specific day; you still have to select the month and day manually before adding the note. Not a big deal, but a small detail that could be improved.

Summary
A very usable Calender. The 4 world zone clocks are an exra bonus. The sun clock is simple, but, the moon placement and phase are 4 days off. I left the Moon off in the settings {note sent to developer)I have no complaints at all about the calender which is why I did the download. Thumbs up.

"Simple and useful"

Summary
I hate flipping thru paper calendars looking for the right day or date for a particular month. This is like being logged online with my bank. All you do is click on the calendar and wahlaa, you are there.
