Editors' reviewYou can create simple reminders on your Windows desktop using virtual sticky notes with BriNotes, although it doesn't stand up to its claims of full program functionality. This program writes itself to your system tray, and it also creates a desktop toolbar, which makes its options readily available. Basic note configuration lets you change font and color. During testing, created notes stayed on top of other applications, but weren't as sticky as the program promised. You can hide the notes by pressing the minimize button. To make notes reappear, we had to uncheck the hide option in the tool bar. Although the publisher describes it as free to try with no limitations, the alarm feature is disabled in the demo. The feature for sending and sharing notes to other users in a LAN also fails to work. BriNotes may satisfy many users, but other free but fully functional note-creation programs are readily available.
This application allows you to put adhesive notes on the desktop of Windows as those sticky notes used at the office, but with all the advantages computers can offer. BRiNOTES is extremely easy to use, flexible and customizable. Includes network support.
