Version: Bookmarks Unifier 2.0b build 7
"The worst piece of software I've ever used"
Pros: It doesn't cause cancer.
Cons: If you're looking for a program to convert your Firefox bookmarks, do yourself a favor and avoid this one like the plague.
1) the interface is crap
2) it totally borks the directory structure of your bookmarks file.
3) it turns bookmarks with long names into corrupt files that can't be moved, deleted, or renamed (Windows 2000). I'm still trying to find something that'll get rid of them (Moveonboot won't even let you try to delete them, they don't even exist as far as it's concerned).
This program is a total disaster.

Version: Bookmarks Unifier 2.0b build 7
Cons: i wasn't even able to start it.
it caused some exception error with the java VM.
an installation/usage guide/manual/helpfile would be nice. an installer and a non-java GUI even more.
most people just running windows wouldn't even know what to do with a .jar

Version: Bookmarks Unifier 2.0b build 7
Pros: You can combine bookmarks from multiple sources by importing multiple sources into a select database. You can create as many databases as you want.
I used it to export Firefox bookmark.html to a folder in Internet Explorer format.
First, you create a database in the program by pressing a button and setting any file name. Second, select a source file and format and pick "import to database" (I want into Firefox and exported a copy of my bookmarks to another folder), and then a destination file and format and pick "export from database" (I exported to a *temporary* folder to test the results, then copied than over to Favorites) -- Presto!
TO WORK: Just make sure you have the latest version of Sun Java Runtime Environment/Java Virtual Machine installed, as the program is a 'jar' file and will not work without it. I recommend NOT exporting to the actual Favorites or bookmark location, but to another folder and make sure everything is okay first before copying it over, or backup first.
Cons: Isn't newbie/rookie proof. (You need a Java Virtual Machine. Please backup first, or better yet, don't export to actual Favorites/Bookmark location of your functional bookmarks.)

Version: Bookmarks Unifier 2.0b build 7
Pros: Easy and extremely light application (Java).
The only application for bookmark import-export that manages well Unicode names. I could export my Opera bookmarks to IE favorites with multiple non-ASCII character sets in the bookmark names.
Cons: A bit hard to figure out how to use the 1st time:
Choose a Bookmarks Database in the first place (any file extension is fine)
Select source / select destination
Then pressing "Import to database" will send source bookmarks to the database
Then pressing "Export from database" will send bookmarks to the destination.
