This utility makes managing your collection of bookmarks much easier. Each bookmark contains not only the URL, but also the logon passwords, your rating, and keywords. Bookmark Buddy can check the status of bookmarked sites in the background to see whether they have been updated or moved since you last visited. The import and export features let you work with several browsers at once, including Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox. The installation is remarkably flexible, and you can change any of the settings later from the Application menu.
Bookmark Buddy supports only one level of subfolder, and you can't see items in two categories at once. To make up for this, you can group bookmarks using separators and place one bookmark in several categories. The program automatically maintains lists including Recently Visited, Recently Added, Frequently Visited, Scheduled, and Favorites. To safeguard your privacy, the application can lock your bookmarks with a password. Anyone using more than one browser or who is simply frustrated with his or her browser's Favorites/Bookmarks features should try Bookmark Buddy.

Version: Bookmark Buddy 3.5.5
"Updated Version is Very Good"
Pros: Fast, small, inexpensive, seems to work flawlessly with FireFox 2.
Cons: I had the original URL organizer and it wasn't a very "intuitive" program to use. However, the latest version of Bookmark Buddy is much better. (I don't understand why you have to switch to "edit" mode to use drag and drop, however.) I'm trying to import 7700 PowerMarks bookmarks, but I don't see how to get my keywords and categories over to the Notes field in BMB.

Version: Bookmark Buddy 3.5.5
"You've got to be kidding me..."
Pros: (see cons, there are no pros here)
Cons: This is BY FAR the most idiotic programm I have ever installed in my entire (long) life. I got SO angry that I went to most of download sites and read all reviews about this one. After a while it appears to me that 99% of all "user reviews" have been submitted by program's author. Now, about the program itself. Just because "programmer" (in quotes) has no brain to figure out how to make nested folders, it doesn't mean that he can call it (from his "review" on this site:) "intuitive" and "convenient". There is nothing convenient in the fact that you have to keep your links in three levels - root, sub and links themselves. You cannot drag links around, you can't create new folders the way you'd expect. Why anyone would need "popularity" of his/her links???? I know perfectly which of my links are the most popular for me - freaking all of them!!! That's why I bookmarked them! And it uses an old fashioned installer that leaves a bunch of garbage on your machine after uninstall, particularly class registration in your registry. Wow... I'm so angry!
