"very good but a lil tricky"

This was recomended to me by a tech freind of mine and i can't say enough about it. its is a lil skill challengeng so if you like a gui this would not be for you i run this program with bitdefender and have absolutly no problems with any malware or viruses

Only one glitch in the program, im runing windows sp2 and when i installed black ice the first time it crashed my system so i went to the black ice site to solve my problem, i modified one line of code it was really easy todo and im not the most computer savvy either. That lil mod fixed the restart issue. Drop me a line if you have a problem with it

"Locks computer on installation"

Wasn't able to use it.
Cons
Program caused a blue screen crash, and critical system error on installation. It has done this on three separate computers, each with a different version of Win XP, and different MFR. The companies FAQ lists solutions such as make sure the program is up to date, and the you're not installing over a previous version, then contact us for help. Not gonna waste my time contacting the company to fix this major an error.

I think it is funny that so many good opinions of this 'product' are displayed first...sounds like the author has been registering under a pseudo log-in to write his/her own 'opinion' as to how good this 'software' is. If you are contemplating downloading this, please flip to the next few pages of reviews, and I think you will see what I mean. I was interested in the program at first, but being an experienced software tester {download.com member for almost 8 years now) I always peruse the available user opinions to see if it is worth the time to D/L. I have determined that this software is NOT worthy just from other users. I will file this as a 'good rating' just to try to keep it where everybody can read it, especially the author...but I give this a thumbs down just due to what I have read from others. And Author, if you are reading, you shouldn't try to deceive the public, because we can make you or break you...to the public, if you are in need of a firewall that is worth the purchase and I guarantee from longtime use, then look for Lavasoft Personal Firewall. It will block hackers and port scan, etc...also get Lavasoft AdAWARE..great combo!!!

Did not even download due to obviously fictitious 'good ratings' that line the first page of user reviews. Hmmmm...very suspect...numerous users state that they can not install at all without first purchasing a key...if it sounds like a scam then it probably is...don't be a guinea pig for somebody that is just trying to make a dollar and fool everyone...

1:Superior firewall with Intrusion Detection System(IDS)
2:Very Light On system resource(my PC now start up even more faster)
3:you can view "Event info" on a particular intrusion.
4:It protect you application.
Cons
1:one glitch which is my BlackIce taskbar icon sometime kept on showing the BlckIce engine has stopped.
2:It lacks of Java,Javascript,ActiveX,VBscript blocking(If it can implement this feature,it will make this firewall even more superior).

Currently evaluating the SW in trial period.
Others have already commended on the pros. What I would like to add is that their Technical support service is not only prompt but also courteous and precise. Something really hard to find nowadays.

this is a very good firewall. aside from the one problem i found, this is very good, one of the best that i have used.
Cons
could do with a feature to just disable and block all request, forever. no need to relist something the second/third/fourth/etc time it sends a request, its not all that necessary that the user would want to read this stuff. it should delete and block on contact.

Great program like the interface remotely easy to use. Loved the parinoid setting very funny but to much for me. From what i herd in the other reviews ppl couldent get a jey i guess they just arent resourceful enough to GET UP AND GET ONE!!!! or just buy it...
all in all a very good program stops most everything and logs the ips 5 stars

not free but not complaining about security problems anymore.
