From Barad-Dur :BitKinex integrates the functionality of an innovative FTP client, SFTP client and WebDAV client for Windows. In addition to features found in other popular FTP programs (like support for the SSL/SSH, multipart and multithreaded transfers, remote edit or FXP) BitKinex introduces several unique approaches and solutions. With just one click you can minimize the space occupied by the program to one small window showing the status of running requests, and with just a few clicks you can see all the details again. In contrast to other FTP clients BitKinex uses multiple connections not only for file transfers but for browsing remote directories as well. You don't need to wait when you make a mistake and accidentally click on a wrong folder. BitKinex allows you to click on the right one immediately and instantly starts to retrieve the content of the directory you want to see using another connection.
Version 2.5 adds WebDAV file locking, HTML parsing, synchronized browsing, improved support for asian character sets.

Pros: I use it to debugging web pages every day and I really like the way of restarting transfers using the traffic-light icons. I think it's very useful idea.

Pros: It did the job on XP, even though XP claims to have similar features built in, this product worked for a friend who had tried and failed using other methods.
Cons: Costs 40 dollars, but you can't have it all.

"Excellent FTP transfer utility"
Pros: The ability to update only those files which have changed on a site was why I chose this product. This feature works flawlessly. Also the background threads work with no errors apparent.

Pros: 1.you can put your own background images in bitkinex way cool!
2.multiple simutanious server to server transfers! that rocks!
3.powerful Queue for dowmloading large files in multiple segments..like a download manager also
4.Queue alllows for multiple logings to a server then will use the threads to carry out a command like "delete" man this is lighting fast if you have alot of folders to delete...other clients you gotta sit there while its single loging goes through each folder...boring! bitkinex can loging 50 times and use 50 threads to delete your files at the same time!
this is the best kept secret!
Cons: really theres not much i dont like with the producct..though i must agree the ability to skin the program would be nice..but this is minor

"Innovative Interface and great features for daily FTP users"
Pros: Key factors that make this program unique and a must have in my opinon are the Messenger style interface, and ability to open several seperate ftp windows, with self contained local and network folders - ideal for webmasters. I've used many different ftp programs and been disatisfied with being able to open just one ftp site at a time - very limiting but Bitkinex is now my only FTP program!
Also another great feature is the ability to set the default local folder for each ftp account/data source - this allows you to open your ftp example.com and automatically have the corresponding local folder open with it - huge time saver!
Very flexible program feature rich, and always improving and adding features.
Cons: This really isn't a con, but I would love to see an option of themes or skins for this program - but honestly at this point with version 2.5 any small improvements I was hoping for are already in this version!
