BitComet is a fast and easy-to-use BitTorrent/HTTP/FTP download client. It is P2P file-sharing freeware and one of the most popular P2P protocols designed for high-speed distribution. BitComet supports simultaneous downloads, DHT networks (trackerless), a download queue, selected downloads in the Torrent package, fast-resume, disk caching, speed limits, auto port mapping, proxies, and IP filtering.
Version 0.96 fixes install package script bug and shows more HTTP connection logs.

"Version 6 and AVG problems"

Pros: It works pretty well so long as you don't try and upgrade it.
Cons: Virus conflict with AVG means I can't use the latest version and download problems have led to me losing my password, with the bitcomet website giving me endless retrieval problems.
The facility to remember what was being downloaded doesn't work either, everything lost on change of version, including password.
Why fix things that work so that they don't?
AVG and Bitcomet should talk more often, as both are popular packages.
