This free P2P application lets you find and download files using a unique system. On the left side of the three-pane interface, you choose from a long list of Web pages that contain files you can download. Different sites offer different types of files, and the subject matter is usually apparent by the name. When you opt to download a file, a smaller file appears on your desktop, which you then open in BitComet.
After a bit of a wait, the application aggregates users that have your requested file and starts a swarm download that gradually grows in sources and speed. We like the enormous variety of files available for download, but aside from paging through categories, there are not many ways to search for specific files. Still, the addition of a preview function helps. The BitComet client offers chat capabilities, stats trackers, and the ability to bookmark your favorite sites.
Overall, we think BitComet and the BitTorrent system are a great alternative to most file-sharing apps, and the fact that this download is free sure doesn't hurt.

Version: BitComet 0.56
"Not the best Bittorent client there is, but still good none the less."
Pros: Bitcomet is one of the easier Bittorent clients to use. Bitcomet does what it says it does and that is allows you to download torrents and get access to millions of files! Bittorent makes up 35% of the internet traffic which is hundreds of times more traffic than iMesh, Limewire and all that crap combined. Bitcomet will give you the opprotunity to join in the action. For a simple Bittorent program this is one to try. Get it and check out lokitorrent.com for torrents.
Cons: Unfortunatly almost all bittorent clients are memory hoggers and unstable. Azureus is one of the better programs, however Azureus uses much more resources because it's Java based. Unlike most file sharing programs, this program is dependant on torrents which means you can't find everything you want all the time. This program requires you visit websites for torrent files then use this to download the program off the tracker, which the torrent file has the information for. This program is only as good as the website you download your torrents off is. I'd steer clear of the illegal file swapping for now as it's being hit hard by the MPAA!

Version: BitComet 0.56
Pros: Well, this program is very fast, relatively easy to use. Do not believe any crappy comments about the program containing ad/spyware. The stable 0.56 is clean, uses hardly any cpu and does not (noticably) hash the files, a process that eats up cpu power when using other clients. Many files also didn't start downloading while using those other clients. (azureus, Bt++) This one downloads almost every torrent selected for downloading. Also a nice feature is the upload/download ratio which keeps track of how much data of the files is sent back to other users.
This program is so fast it has become a pleasure to keep the u/d ratio above 1.
Unfortunately many sites are now closing because the movie industry is sewing their ***** off. ( R.I.P suprnova, loki)
Conclusion: If you want the fastest, nicest, most easy to use client around, definitely use Bitcomet 0.56
Cons: :D uses all your download speed, makes it hard to surf the internet while downloading from the Bittorrent network
