BearShare lets you search for, download, and share files with everyone on the global Gnutella peer-to-peer information network. This program works with MP3, MPEG, AVI, ASF, MOV, JPEG, GIF, and all other file types. It features full documentation (installed with the program), slick graphics, and a user interface that makes searching, downloading, and file sharing easy. It also features upload bandwidth controls, enhanced connection management, user-defined family filter controls, and improved downloading.
The program has a Community button, which instantly connects you through your browser to BearShare.Net, a thriving forum with information and resources to help you use the network.
Version 2.5 adds support for swarmed transfers from multiple sources. It also features file hashing, the ability to find more sources for file downloads, and auto-detection of firewall settings and IP addresses. Version 2.5.2 is a minor service release addressing various bugs.

Great music to listen to.. easy to find what your looking for :)

Every time I would use BearShare my computer would crash. I couldn't get through an entire download to listen to it and it would quit responding. It has some major bug issues that need worked out asap!!
Summary
I would def. use BearShare again if they would fix the problems with the program causing my computer to freeze and become nonresponsive. I hated having to uninstall it because Ii found a lot of artists that I really love but I don't have the time to close the program and restart it every minute or two.
