I have used both Quicken Accounts and then when they pulled out of the UK Market, Microsoft Money for over a decade - I have found both of these very useful for my day to day accounting needs. Since Microsoft decided to no longer support Money I have been looking for a suitable replacement and was very pleased to become aware of banktree.
I've been using BankTree for over a year now & find it is excellent at keeping track of finances - a good replacement for Microsoft Money, which I used to use. On noticing that it can be used on 2 computers, I have now added it to my netbook, so that I can keep an eye on my spending when on my travels.
Went through the budgeting process fine but unable to assign different amount for different months. Contacted help desk - one line reply 'update to latest version' - that didn't worth and no reply to any other e-mails.
Did do what is was advertised to do. Downloaded MS Money Plus (sunset version) for free and whilst it takes more time to set up is does a GREAT job. Get MS Money Plus rather than Bank Tree
The product does not advertise budgeting as being able to assign different amounts for different months. The budget amount is assigned for the whole reporting period. We contact this reviewer SIX months ago but got no response.
