Publisher's Description
From Ricardo Batista:
Baby Safe is a screen saver for Mac OS X that provides an interactive and safe environment for your baby to play with the computer, while at the same time preventing your baby from causing chaos on your computer.
Once activated Baby Safe displays basic geometric shapes, the alphabet, numbers and pictures (some of yours as well) as the baby or toddler hits the keyboard or uses the mouse. Sounds are also used to teach the alphabet and the numbers.
While the screen saver is active your work is safe and your baby can have some fun and learn a little bit.
Once a special word such as "byebye", "quit" or "exit" is typed, the screen saver can exit. You may need to use your password to get back to the computer as it was before the screen saver was activated.
The best thing to do is to setup Baby Safe to be activated by placing the mouse in a corner, that way when the baby comes over you just move the mouse to a corner and your computer is Baby Safe. Baby Safe also displays some of your own pictures.
What's new in this version:
- Fixed a bug where for some people, opening the System Preferences and opening the screen saver module would cause a crash for the System Preferences.
- Note that under Jaguar the screen saver can be exited by pressing command-period or the power key regardless of what we do to avoid that. Apple was supposed to have fixed this for us and instead they managed to make it worse. So our next version will no longer be a screen saver to work around this issue. We were under the impressio...
