For a torrent-downloading app, Azureus is chock-a-block full of features that set it apart from the rest of the pack.
From XML torrent options to IP filters, firewall tests to UPnP plug-ins, Azureus leads the way in making the torrent experience as customizable as possible. When you install the program, it gives you three levels of option settings, for beginner, intermediate, and advanced controls. There's a configuration wizard, an easy-to-use torrent maker, and dozens of ways to set your statistics logs so you can track download speed and performance.
The layout could benefit from larger buttons. Nevertheless, it's uncluttered and the icons are straightforward--none of those unhelpful "sad face" icons to stop the torrent. In the past, the Java architecture has been a fatal flaw, with Azureus porking out and consuming resources as if they were pies in an eating contest. It's still a major processor drain, but the latest version isn't anywhere near as bad as earlier ones have been, and we recommend this app to advanced users.

"Reliable Client."

Pros
I love Azureus, ever since the first torrent I downloaded, I chose Azureus as my torrent client. A big help for me is that it can resume downloads after the internet has rebooted itself due to an error in my modem. Another is that it has tons of features that can be very useful.
Cons
Very large file size, 7X the size of uTorrent, and annoying content channel that can slow down my computer.

"Great once you figure it out."

Pros
I've gotten downloads much faster than using Limewire. 700mb files in 3-4 hours, often downloading at 170kb per second, but I had to configure the program myself to get this. If you have firewalls or use wireless internet via a router, you may have to set the ports on those. This will connect from the beginning and you can learn to tweak it from there. There's a help link that is of great assistance when you are learning. I'm a bit new to P2P myself, and I'm impressed with this program. You can also set the amount of bandwidth you'll allow for uploads, and the program sticks right to it, which is helpful if you're sharing your internet connection with other computers in your home.
Cons
When the program starts, there is an opening page that offers a lot of downloads and will allow you to surf and connect, but I prefer to find torrents in certain places then use the program to download, so I bypass the startup page and go to the "Advanced" tab which shows all downloading, uploading and speeds.

Great graphics(speed inc. average swarmspeed), cool visualisations. Much nicer then Bittorrent, Bitcomet and Utorrent.

Ofcourse it is a bit heavy, with all these features.
It only lets me download 3 torrents max. at the same time, while my connection is fast enough for more. (14Mb/s.)

After hunting various torrent clients for years and using various ones such as, Utorrent - Crap and Ares such and such, Azureus beats them all for everything seriously. I was getting 5 -25kbps download from them and it would still drop down :( Azureus is just KING..!
Why?
{} The Azureus Vuze interface is brilliant, u can search quickly (legally) for music, music videos, games, trailers, u name it at a high download speeds!
{} The interface is cool sleek looking and is easy to use.
{} You can add ur own torrents to download, and at that at very high speeds also. Im hovering over 600-700kbps all the time on good torrent with good seeds. (obviously u download good torrents).
{}The Player on the interface is flawless.

Pros
This software is simply the best Torrent client I have ever used. It is simple enough for a novice to use straight away, but it can also be configured by those with more experience, who want to set up and make use of all the extra features available.
It does not have a loud brash trashy UI. It is clean and looks very professional. Try using it for your next couple of downloads, and you will not want to use any other client. It really is the bees knees!

Pros
Azureus has more features than any other client and is aimed at the more experienced torrent user allowing you to do much more than just downloading. It is packed full of features and allows you to customize most settings.
Cons
It's just too big.
