Every once in a while, a piece of software comes along that does its job almost flawlessly. The Axialis IconWorkshop falls in this category, making the job of creating high-quality, professional icons a snap. It functions like a Photoshop for icon and cursor editing, providing a huge range of options for creating icons from preexisting images, and editing them once they've been formed. It allows users to import all popular image formats, extract icons from executables, manage icon libraries, and edit animated cursors. The interface is simple to use, with well-organized and customizable menus and windows. We think professionals will be likely to move to the full version of this software after the 30-day trial period expires, but for casual users this also will provide a perfect short-term tool.

Axialis IconWorkshop is a professional tool designed to create, edit and convert all existing icon formats up to 256x256 for Windows Vista and 512x512 for MacOS 10.5 Leopard. It is the only icon editor which permits creation and edition of Image Strips for toolbars. If you're a developer, don't struggle with wide bitmaps anymore. Just open them in IconWorkshop and edit each icon separetely.

Many tools permit you to be productive: automatic image format creation, creation of icons from images including PSD, PNG, JPEG2000, cross-plateform conversion (Win-Mac), automated batch processing (icon creation, conversion, export to images), Photoshop and Illustrator transfer plug-in and more. 10 ready-to-use Photoshop templates permit to work the professional way. 6 object packs containing thousands of images are provided. They permit creating icons by assembling images using Drag&Drop. Version 6.30 includes two new object packs: "Web Illustrations" and "Lite Toolbars".
