From Steve Murphy :The AWC is designed to do one thing well: allow you to change your desktop wallpaper on a timed basis. The displayed image can be stretched for best fit to the screen, optionally maintaining its aspect ratio, or displayed at its actual size. When displaying a picture the user can choose to display it in any of the four corners of the screen, centred on one edge or tiled. Images supported: JPEG, GIF, BMP, PNG, TGA and PCX.

Pros: Does what it says rather well.
Cons: I would have liked to be able to specify more than one directory for the wallpapers. Sure, I can put all these directories together in a "super directory" and tell AWC to use all subdirectories - but this solution is a kludge.

Cons: Install fails to register a tlb file; running the program returns an error. Unable to install or run on Vista Business, immediately uninstalled.

Cons: Upon 32-bit home Vista's attempted installation:
"Error C:\Windows\system32\stdole2.tlb Unable to register the type library: Register TypeLib failed; code 0x8002801C. Error accessing the OLE registry. Click Retry to try again, Ignore to proceed anyway (not recommended), or Abort to cancel installation."
Retry failed, so I aborted.

Version: Automatic Wallpaper Changer 3.0.5
Pros: Highly customizable.
Cons: Do not autostart when computer boots. Close button actually closes the program instead of send it to the tray.
