  Pros: Nice thought

  Cons: - I changed from 24 mo to 36 mo and the payment went up! Wrong!

  "Very helpful."

  Pros: Just plug in the numbers and you have all the information you need.

  Cons: Must know something about spreadsheets. One or two functions are confusing.

  Summary: It is a good program but how many times do you need an auto calculator in your lifetime?

  Pros: Easy to use, takes sales tax, down payment, trade-in value, and more into calculation of loan payments.

  Pros: Easy to use. Enabled me to do quarterly payments, which no others were able to do.

  Version: Auto Loan Calculator 1

  "Good, straightforward and functional, but a bit narrow"

  Pros: It's a smart method to use spreadsheets as a simple mean of calculating and displaying the results of such an important financial desicion as taking a car loan. The interface is selfexplanatory and for the greter part simple. It says that the file works only in newer Excell, but I have found that OpenOffice.org Calc (at least the version I use: 2.0.2) also manage it.

  Cons: It can be difficult to use some of the functions whithout proper knowledge about spreadsheets. The author recognize this however, and suplement links for learning about what is needed. But still it can be quite frustrating to battle whith it. It is also surprisingly narrow in it's use: one could argue that any kind of loan (particurlary big ones such as for houses or cars) is important to evaluate and compare. Certainly that is still possible in this spreadsheet, but in some cases it might force you to make changes in how the spreadsheet works, and that's not always easy.
