Defragging your hard drive is an important part of system maintenance; regular defragging can improve performance by making sure that all the parts of each file are stored together, which makes it faster to access them. Auslogics Disk Defrag is a simple way to take care of this task. With a straightforward interface and a few useful extras, Auslogics Disk Defrag is a great choice for users of all skill levels.
The program's interface is plain and intuitive, featuring the classic cluster map that displays fragmented, unfragmented, and empty space. Auslogics Disk Defrag took 14 seconds to run a scan of our hard drive and determine that it was 17 percent fragmented. We clicked the defrag button and waited 10 minutes for the program to do its thing. In the time it took us to go make a snack, Auslogics Disk Defrag had tidied up our hard drive. We double-checked its work by running the built-in Windows Disk Defragmenter, and it confirmed that our disk was now 0 percent fragmented.
The program is easy enough for just about anyone to use, but it also has a few advanced features, such as options to schedule automatic defrags and defrag individual folders, that will be attractive to more advanced users. There's a well-written PDF user manual available on Auslogic's Web site, but most people won't need it. Overall, we found Auslogics Disk Defrag to be a simple, powerful tool, and we recommend it.

Pros
Fast, defrags multiple disks at the same time to save time. I like the ability to leave it running and have it shut down when done.
Cons
They should disable it's defrag feature on solid state drives, or at least give a warning if a user tries to defrag a solid state drive.
Summary
This defragger works so much faster and more efficiently than windows's default program. Use it!

Pros
Excellent for Windows Vista. Even on my slow-running computer, this program is fast and simple: click the button on the disk you want to defragment and the operation is completed almost immediately. I used it on a drive that was 53% defragmented: it took about 60 seconds.

I haven't encountered any problems.

I tried a number of defrag programs recently including Smart Defrag 2, Defraggler and a couple of others. Smart defrag is very fast but seemed to make my computer slower.. Defraggler seems like a good program made by the makers of CCCleaner. It definitely sped up my computer the first time I used it. But for me it is just way, way too slow doing a full defrag. The first time I tried Auslogics I was not very impressed. It was very fast but I didn't see much difference in terms of computer performance versus defraggler until I ran the defrag and optimize scan. This shaved a second off the loading time of FireFox and Thunderbird (1 second and 3 seconds) that Defraggler achieved. And it did this in a 10th of the time Defraggler took if that. Excellent.
Cons
There is some upsell. When you click on certain links a pay for program called Boostspeed is promoted. Looks like a good program but it is not free.

So far the fastest and most effective defrag program I have tried.

I have read that too much defraging can cause harm to and wear out your hard drive. The system health section is the typical promo, each time you run a scan, they more stuff that is bad
