Arcade classics will never die, at least not if the makers of Asteroids 2006 have anything to say about it. The goal is roughly the same as in the original: you spin your spacecraft and hit the thrusters, trying to shoot incoming asteroids before they crash into you.

The graphics have improved since the 1980s, but they're still nothing special. You can choose from several MIDI soundtracks, but we disabled them on account of their extreme cheesiness. Nostalgia is all well and good, but even dedicated retro gamers will hit the Hyperspace button after a few rounds of Asteroids 2006.
