This Bible-based alarm clock performs its key function, but not without some definite hang-ups. First, Angels Web Solutions Desktop Alarm Clock requires Microsoft .NET, Real Player, and Window's Media Player to operate, none of which are provided during the installation, not even a quick link. It presents the date, time, and a Bible verse with one of six biblical images. Using the system tray icon you can hide the date, hide the Bible verse, or switch to a different verse. Its alarm can be set to sound an audio file of your choice, and several file types are supported. You can also opt for a visual alarm to be displayed on your desktop. The audio and visual alarms emerge on time, flashing primary colors and misspelled words in a gigantic font, an enormous downfall since you can't change the display message. This application gives 30-minute blocks for trial purposes, though most users will want an alarm clock minus the embarrassing alarm display.
