Charming mind game where you arrange coloredballs on a board to form lines of balls having identical colors. Lines of fiveor more balls vanish from the board, increasing your score. (Two new optionsare introduced with this version, where instead of lines, you may assembleblocks, or rectangle shapes. Different rules apply.) The game ends when theboard is filled with balls and no qualifying line (or pattern) exists. Not onlymay you choose the objects you like from the six offered (3D balls, or fivealternates), but you may also load various backgrounds (choose from fiveincluded, or use your own favorite or specially designed image) and play yourfavorite MIDI music file during the game (ten original melodies are included).

Pros
I have been playing this game since 2001 and love it. Each game or "round" is quick and requires the player
to think about placement so that the board can stay as
empty as possible. It is easy to learn. It is simplistic and challenging. 4 Stars!Cons
It is challenging. When I first played the game, I kept trying to break 400(the game arrives with the highest score being 400). So I wrote the support team and complained that it should have been easier to play. Stupid, but was a noob :)
Summary
The game is solid. It has transferred with me from Win95
to Win98 to WinNT to WinMe to Vista. It has never had a
support issue. How many games can you say that about? I
have never had the compatibility assistant come into play.
I wish the developers still had their website. They always
had something new to try out. THe game is so easy that kids can stay as captivated as adults. So its one size fits all for full family use. The levels are EASY, MEDIUM,
and DIFFICULT. The songs are MIDI if you want to hear them. I say go for it. It is priced so low for the genuine fun the game brings to you. Since 2001 I cannot tell you the number of times I have become re-addicted to Alines. There is always a new score level to reach. The hours I have invested into playing is far lower than the amount of fun it has brought me over the years. If puzzle
games are your thing, then you need this added to your collection.
