This simple application lets you create shortcuts for any program in your computer. Active Tray's utilitarian main window is accessible via a system-tray icon, and shortcuts are arranged in a tree view. In the Items Configuration section, you can create shortcuts for your favorite programs, documents, folders, and links. You can also add shortcuts to perform an action and create menu groups for any combination of programs, files, or Web pages. In testing, it was easiest to add items by dragging and dropping target objects directly into Active Tray's main window. The program also adds access to My Computer and My Documents from the system tray, and creates a My Menu folder that offers access to shutdown operations. You can easily add new files, folders, and other items to each area. Though this program only offers a 21-day trial period, any user will find it easy to set up and use.
