Version: AceFTP 3.72
"Works fine but you're forced to install a toolbar"
Pros: Works decently. It was easy to use, very reminscent of Ipswitch's WS_FTP.
Cons: You can't install it unless you agree to download a toolbar to IE (I figured I didn't care since I almost never use IE anymore) but it still annoyed me. So I've since uninstalled it (which by the way if you do, remember to uninstall the toolbar since it doesn't uninstall with the rest of the program).
I'm beta testing IE7 and when I finally uninstalled the toolbar, and opened IE it claimed I had malicious spyware and would uninstall it. (Funny it didn't think that when the toolbar was sitting on it for a week).

"Free ftp program. Nothing special."
Pros: - FREE! Yea, baby! $$$$
- Not much to say, it does what is says it can do. Nothing more, nothing less.
Cons: - No major bells and whistles. Allows you to gain access to ftp.

"Works as described - You can avoid downloading the toolbar"
Pros: I've been using AceFTP for quite sometime. Since early releases in fact. It's a decent product and it gets the job done! Others have complained about having to install the toolbar that's packaged with this install. However, this toolbar is not a required install when you download the product directly from the Visicom site. The download off their site gives you the option to not install that toolbar at all.
Just thought I'd pass this along for those who would like to try this product and not have to worry about additional unwanted crap being installed on your computer.
Cons: Every now and then it seems like I have to shut the program down cause it will not connect to a FTP account. Restarting the program seems to resolve the issue. This rarely happens though.

"This does exactly what I need and more..."
Pros: Its a super robust FTP programme with a solid installation and no spyware etc. It also has advanced features that I didn't expect.
Cons: not a lot wrong with it - perhaps if you're a first time user it could look a little complex - still, stick with it, its not hard and its certainly worth it.

Pros: I dont know... didnt install because it required additional installation of a toolbar.
Cons: Since it requires a toolbar installation, and does not mention it in the description... hmmm, I dont think I trust them. Those shady punks! I am surprised the editors didnt catch this.
