Version: AceFTP Pro 3.72
Pros: I used AceFTP long ago, it was a good program then, and a good program now. All these reviews saying it has Spyware are from one or more dumb people who can't read. When installing it plainly as day asks you if you want the toolbar.
Cons: None I could see. I'm glad I choose to try AceFTP again despite all these nasty reviews calling it Spyware.

Version: AceFTP Pro 3.72
"Works fine - But not too great"
Pros: The FTP works as you would expect it to. The installation was smooth. It keeps the history of FTP sites i connect to, Works from behind proxy, Has several settings including SSL,PASV,etc..
Cons: It installed a TOOLBAR ! No multiple threads of upload - so speed of uploads is just as basic as it can get.

Pros: It actually is an FTP client even if muddled with abhorable business decisions by whomever is making their releases
Cons: One user says it asks for permission to install the VMN toolbar. This is referencing either a version not on this site or a plain lie. I was absolutely shocked to find this piece of software had installed the VMN toolbar with no foreknowledge while I was installing the ftp client. It's rediculous and the last time any software from this publisher will make it onto my hardware.

Pros: I saw nothing special in it. There are plenty of FTP clients out there that are much better.
Cons: BEWARE!! Installs Spyware / Toolbar without notifying the user. The toolbar is easy to uninstall but I can't say I trust it hasn't done something else that is not welcome to my system.
