"This download is NOT free, To down-load you are forced to take the tool bar also"
Pros: This software I have used for a long time and it worked well.
Cons: Now that this free ware turned into shareware or a 30 day trial deal, I feel that the false advertising it way uncool. I also have used the tool bar that you are forced to take now and I like it but it went on my IE browser and I don't use IE, I use Mozilla, I still have it on Mozilla on my old machine don't seem to have the choice on this new Pay down-load.

"Best Server Friendly Freeware FTP"
Pros: I've used AceFTP for a little over a year. It was the best freeware FTP at the time and I think it's still one of the top ftp programs available. I've spent about 10 hours in the past three days looking for a replacement freeware FTP programs but all the rest are filled with bugs and adware. I recommend this programs for it's simplicity, straightforward layout, and server friendly default settings. Connect to just about any server, just put your IP address/FTP address, username and password, and that's it. You can customize your connection too.
Cons: I really like this program, and I am having a hard time finding a replacement. However, the reason I am looking for a replacement is that I need an FTP program that can let me upload files in an "Explore" type of view; where it lets me see a list of the server's main folders on the left and the content of each folder on the right. But so far, no luck.

"Decent FTP prgram, pure freeware, not adware."
Pros: Used this program for years and it works as an FTP manager as it should.
Cons: Doesn't like Vista too much.
