This garden-variety application for cleaning your PC's history gets a big boost because of its status as nonrestricted freeware. AbsoluteShield Internet Eraser Lite clears such system locations as the Internet history, cookies, the Web browser address bar, the temporary files folder, the Recycle Bin, and recently opened documents. The interface is so straightforward even a small child could navigate it with little or no difficulty, and the system-tray icon makes it all the more convenient. If you want to be extra cautious, you can erase files so they can't be restored, or run the app clandestinely in stealth mode. The built-in pop-up blocker doesn't have a lot of features, but works well and lets you specify one of three sensitivity levels. Also, as previously mentioned, this handy computer cleaner is free. Therefore, we can recommend it for anyone concerned with keeping their computer habits to themselves.

  "A basic privacy cleaner."

  Pros: This program will clean temporary internet files, recently typed urls, browser history and cookies. Also will clean windows start run menu, windows temp folder, recent documents list.

  Will clean files from the recycle bin, explorer find files, my network places history and a bit more, has a pop up and pop under control.

  Cons: It would be better if this program supported more browsers.

  "nice trial version- does what it claims."

  Pros: I like the simplicity of the interface, and the comprehensive choices available.

  Cons: I don't think the full version is worth the price. I most likely won't upgrade simply because of the price.

  Cons: was not worth downloading and installing. would ask same permissions over and over. Too much to deal with.
