AS3 Personal Firewall is device designed to prevent outsiders from accessing your network even if it is run from a USB drive. The unit serves as the single entry point to your network and evaluate all TCP connections requests as they are received comparing them with each rule in the policy. This is advanced easy to use software with ability to watch for all ports on your system. Activity provides a real-time view of the open connections through the firewall.
The rules editor is used to define a security policy where connections requests from unauthorized IP addresses and ports are rejected. The log viewer provides data connection notes that can be used for prosecuting the potential attackers. Version 2 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

I needed a firewall for older operating system. It installs easily. No problem connecting to internet or getting e-mail. Easy options if you need them. It's pretty much install and go. Used a couple of days & already stopped hacking attempts!

Summary
If you need a standalone firewall try this. If you have older operating system or new it will work for you. Of course always check system req. before installing. Everyone know that though I'm sure. Doesn't slow down computer or interfere with anything I've done on the internet. Personally I am happy with it.
I still really like this firewall. I had to change a rule on site that was blocked. It was so simple. Just go to help at top of firewall screen. Click help, how it works, go to policy configuarations,rule modifications or new rules whatever you need, read it and do what it says. Of course the first time a made a mistake. I just looked over the rules already existing, and the how to again. Did it again and not a problem. EASY!

This program i have had a while it is really good. It allows you to set rules. I believe this program would be really good for a beginner. just install and let it go. It may (will effect) msn, steam all those type of programs.
