This application replaces your keyboard with an onscreen version, though it isn't as handy to use. The AN627-IH Virtual Keyboard is on the drab side, but its resemblance to the hardware it replaces makes it ultrasimple to use. The main difference lies in the absence of the Function, Ctrl, and Alt keys in the program's version. It does offer seven additional keys that insert WWW or ORG and other common Internet-related symbols and phrases. The AN627-IH Virtual Keyboard works like the standard keyboard but, just by virtue of the slower clicking process, it's overly time-consuming to produce more than a line or two. Unlike similar virtual keyboards, this one doesn't offer any configuration settings to modify transparency, size, color, or other display characteristics. A Help file isn't included in this version, though one isn't really necessary. Anyone can use this simple software, though its price tag will put off the casually interested user.
