Publisher's Description
From Roger Jolly:
AEP, the active extension processor, is a freeware Applescript Studio based application that lets users of OS X run scripts when they change the file extension of a file or folder in the Finder. The upshot of this is that you can compress files by just adding the ".zip" to them, or ".tgz", decompress them by removing that extension. AEP even allows you to translate files by changing e.g. "music.mp3" into "music.aif". Thanks to its Applescript based plug-in structure, you can easily add your own actions with the three templates that are included. (You can have a working plug-in by just filling in the extension and the application name!)
What's new in this version: Much needed update after the release of Mac OS X 10.1.5 and AppleScript 1.8.3. Includes some smaller bug fixes in both AEP itself and some of its plug-ins. Also adds a warning signal to let you know when AEP will notice changes in the Finder.
