3D Realistic Fireplace Screen Saver provides users with a fairly lifelike fireplace on their screen. While simple to operate, the program's options are what makes it red hot.

The interface is so intuitive that users will not need a trip to the Help file, though it is available if necessary. The program is well labeled and all the options make perfect sense. We had no trouble navigating it and customizing our flames. We were pleased by the fireplace and how easy it was to set up. While it will not fool anyone into thinking your computer is on fire, it does a good job of avoiding cartoonish imagery. The logs are deteriorating to cinder, the flames leap randomly, and the program excels with the little touches like sparks and ash floating upward with the smoke. In addition, the sound does a decent job of imitating the crackle of flames. While it makes a charming screensaver, this program's real strength is in its features. Users have full control over the look of the fire, the smoke, the glow, the fireplace appearance, and more. Each is simple to operate and easily previewed with a small preview screen on the Options menu.

The program comes with a stingy, one-fireplace trial. Still, with a fairly realistic image and fantastic options, this program is a fun option for those who want to add a little spark to their screensaver.
