This screensaver decorates your computer for Kwanzaa. 3D Interactive Kwanza Candles shows the seven Kwanzaa candles, labeled in English and Kiswahili with the principle each represents and the date on which you light it. The candles light up in order.

Once they're all lit, you can click on them to turn off the flame; you hit any key to exit. The principles' Kiswahili names fly across the tableau periodically to refresh the screen. The traditional mat, candleholder, communal cup, and fruit also appear. Ears of corn represent the number of children in the household.

The screensaver looks fine, although the realistic objects look out of place with the stylized candles and flat background. We're glad the soundtrack of bells and flutes doesn't grate, since the trial disables mute. An unobtrusive bottom scroll and a smallish text overlay remind you to register.

Wisely for a screensaver that celebrates a seven-day festival, the trial is a scant five days. Our major objection is the uninstaller didn't work, so we had to manually remove the program. The educational 3D Interactive Kwanza Candles particularly suits households with children.
