"Don't Buy"
Version: 3D Bridge Deluxe 2.3
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Playing solo, any average or above bridge player will go nuts with the crazy bidding and playing. For instance, the aces are always led first and there are many opening bids of 6. It's maddening and frustrating. Don't waste your money. -
"Bidding problems"
Version: 3D Bridge Deluxe 2.3
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Not having been able to get online with this program I've had to play with the computer as partner.
The bidding by the computer is outrageous. For instance, it bids a slam whenever there is the slightest possibility. I'm afraid to bid game because it will (almost) always up the bid to six!
It's really exasperating to play this game. It often recommends leads that even a beginner would eschew.
This needs a serious overhaul in game tactics. -
"Excellent Game"
Version: 3D Bridge Deluxe 2.3
Summary

I finally purchased after months of indecision. I'm glad I did. The only problem I have is that I still don't fully understand the bidding in Bridge, but that's not this game's fault.
I do, however, occasionally have my partner just automatically bid 7 of a suit right out of the gate, even though his hand sucks for that suit, and everyone before him passed. That's only happened once or twice, though.
I'll have to start playing online, but I don't know that I'm good enough for that yet. :-) -
"Poor software, horrible company"
Version: 3D Bridge Deluxe 2.3
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Have had this program approaching two years and have never once been able to connect to network play - one problem after another with various (high speed) internet connections.
Solo play is crippled by bad AI.
Freeverse Customer Service (an oxymoron) will occasionally consent to send an automated message after months of trying, but if you want help from a real person, just give up.
Too bad. It could have been good, but this is a company that clearly doesn't care about its customers after making the sale. -
"macFanDave . . . play online"
Version: 3D Bridge Deluxe 2.3
Summary

Invitation to you to come play online. As Brian said the Bots are not as good as he would like. They are easy to beat.
The real fun and challenge is to play with some of the very best Bridge players from around the world.
Give it try.
