Publisher's Description
From 101 Software:
101 Clips captures everything that you cut or copy. Whatever you capture you can either paste them or use them - 101 will fetch URLs, launch emails, open files and even dial the phone numbers that you save as clips.
What's new in this version: New features:
- Under Windows XP, copying a single graphic file in My Computer now creates two clips on the clipboard. The first is the file clip which can be pasted into another folder and the second is a graphic clip which contains the graphic from the file which was copied.
- Whenever the Options window is opened, the program re-tests to see if the user is an administrator thus overcoming the problem of the common data option occasionally being greyed out. See all new features

"Great little helper"
Version: 101 Clips 10.00.00
Pros
Very useful and very intuitive. There's nothing to learn - just does the job.
Cons
There is a pop up advert for their Pro. version which can be mildly irritating.
-
"More misleading software"
Version: 101 Clips 9.04
Pros
Actually works well. Under different (honest) circumstances, I probably would have bought it.
Cons
Just another piece of dishonestly described nagware.
Summary
Perhaps CNET really does have so much software that things like this slip through their fingers, but it seems to be happening more and more here. 101 clips is presented as "freeware." This software works well but after a few weeks, nag screens start to appear asking you to send money. It's not a lot of money, but the screen appears more and more until the user uninstalls it or buys a very similar but commercial package.

"very helpful aid to mempry"
Version: 101 Clips 9.04
Pros
ability to save several unrelated items and view or paste them much later
Cons
nothing I dislike
-
"I find it essential. More than a clipboard."
Version: 101 Clips 9.02
Pros
Have used it for years & find it indispensable now. Saving libraries of clips [book lists, CD's, etc.] & the program's facility for backing them up are just some of its capabilities.
Cons
None once the usage of the program has been understood.
Summary
I must apologise. My review remarks are for Full Version 6.73, not 9.02.

"Works good for a free utility"
Version: 101 Clips 9.02

Works good for a free utility does as described a good way to keep your clipboard entries saved.

Wish you could have the ability to resize it. Wish there was an option to clear it out upon shutting down the computer.

"Version 8.09 Not Free As Advertised"
Version: 101 Clips 8.09
Pros
Earlier versions were great, and were also free **as advertised**.
Cons
Unlike previous versions, version 8.09 is not free *as advertised*, but instead nags the user to pay for a subscription.

"Great Free Clipboard Extender"
Version: 101 Clips 8.08
Pros
We all know that window clip board sucks. This utility does what it is suppose to do. After installation sit back and copy your heart out. It resides in the system tray so it is always available. ClipTrakker is another good one but it's Shareware. This one (101 Clips ver 8.08) is totally FREE and does just as well. Give it a try.
