Version: 001 Action/RPG Maker 1.2
"A great starter kit for anyone who wants to make there own ACTION RPG."
Pros: The interface is easy to use. I had no problem with making maps/towns/events.
Easy to script events, situations, or even conversations.
It has an easy to use character models, for the NPC. With hundreds of ways to make each one different.
You can even make/use vehicles in the game.
The controls in the game are very easy to use. Plus I like the weapon selected screen, it easy to tell which one you are holding.
If your looking for a first time rpg and you don't want to really get into very complex scripting schemes this is a great starter program.
Cons: The graphics are less than good. They arn't even acceptable in the late 80's.
There is a tutoral on the publishers website. However the tutoral is out of date for the version you are using, so some of the steps have changed. Plus it's a VERY basic tutoral. It barely goes into the many script options.
Guns! Guns! Guns! If your going to make a game using this. Make sure you want to use guns, because all the weapons they have available are all guns.

Pros: THIS IS THE BEST PROGRAM IVE SEEN SO IN A VERY LONG TIME, THIS PROGRAM WILL TEACH YOU ALL ABOUT GAME CREATION SERVICES AND WILL ALSO BE ALOT OF FUN. YOU CAN SHARE GAMES YOU CREATE AND OFFER GREAT HELP. IF YOUR A BEGINNER BELIEVE ME, JUST TRY THIS AND SEE IF YOU LIKE IT.
Cons: HAS AN OCCASIONAL LOCK UP PROBLEM, ALTHOUGH WAS CORRECTED, ALSO HAS A LOW PIXEL QUALITY.

"not the best, but its free. the good one cost like 60$ so i go 4 this one"
Pros: its free and easy to use
Cons: the game graphic is not good, dont know how to get the character to fight and there is not many character graphics to choose. not the best rpg maker tool ive tryed but its at least free

Pros: The options like all of the guns and cameras.
Cons: I dont even understand how to use this game because there is no help button or tutorial, they just expect that your a pro and know how to use this sort of software. I suggest the maker makes a tutorial that starts the first time you use this software if he wants people to use it. At the moment i think this game isn't worth downloading and is complete and utter ****

Pros: This is a great game maker if you are a beginner. It is easy to use and very simple. If you get stuck theres a helpful forum that are always happy to help. I'm a member of Engine 001 and I have made many tutorials to make it even easier!!!
