Wunderlist creates and shares to-do lists with friends and co-workers. It syncs data between all your devices: PC, cell phone, and tablet -- and publishes to the Internet. It's suitable for everything from updating your grocery list or publishing your top ten favorite movies, to touching base with team members and project collaborators. Comments let you focus conversations on the matter at hand. Recent updates include much-requested Folders.

Good looking: Wunderlist sports a clean, efficient layout with a customizable background image.

Cons

Account required: You must create an account to sync data and use Wunderlist's other Web-based features. It's free and only asks for your name, email, and a password, but some users might object.

Great simple but effective -to do list- app

On some devices the UI is slightly worse (like on my windows desktop), in comparison to my Apple devices Syncen not always working perfect (but hey, I am a heavy user, so just need to be patient sometimes ;:)

Pros
If I had to choose just one thing to like about this application, it is the fact that it is available anywhere you are; web, Windows, OS X, iPhone & Android. And it syncs incredibly well between all of these interfaces. What you get for a great price (FREE), is an application allowing you to implement GTD, creating tasks that have repeating reminders, subtasks and notes. You can also attach files to tasks and In the options, you can set system wide hotkeys to add tasks, as well as email reminders. It also has the ability to share your account and assign tasks to other users. I was not sure that Wunderlist would work for me, since I thought it would not be enough to handle all of the tasks and options I needed. However, it has worked quite nicely.
Cons
There are some difference between the free and Pro versions. I guess you could say this is a con, but they have to give free and Pro some differentiation. Free:The size of file attachments per file is 5MB, 25 assigns per list (a list is like a folder), 25 subtasks per to-do item and 20 different backgrounds to choose from. Pro: unlimited on everything above, plus 30 backgrounds. I don't see why backgrounds would be an issue in the decision to use or not use an application, but for some it is an important item. I would like to see the ability to keep the detail pane open regardless of switching to a new to-do item. Currently, if you double click a to-do, it shows the detail pane. Once you click another to-do, it closes the detail pane. I would like to see the ability to add RTF formatting to the notes, like bold, underlines, etc... It would be very useful to be able to format the notes. Currently these capabilities are not there.

Opens quickly. Very simple to use, shortcuts available if you want them. Create & name your own lists of tasks in different categories: Today, Tomorrow, Next 7 days, Later & Without date. Position side panel to left or right, or hide it. Order tasks by drag & drop. Add a priority star. Add notes. It syncs readily with anything else (you have to install it on each machine), and it remembers your login.
Cons
Bland and rather colourless interface with uninspiring choice of dated backgrounds. Notes appear in rather small and faint font on a ruled background.
Summary
If you're not too fussed about its unexciting look, it is ok as an uncomplicated to-do app, with its best feature its trouble-free syncing. Updated on Jan 2, 2014Thought I would try this again in December 2013, but it would not install, saying it "requires a newer version of Windows". Mine is XP.
